Foundation Stage - Little Stars
When children start school during the academic year of their 5th birthday, they enter our Foundation (Reception) class.
The Early Years Foundation Stage became statutory from September 2008 and begins from birth and continues until the end of the Reception year.
The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is very practical and takes a “Hands on” approach, so most of the learning done by the children is through play based activities. These occur both indoors and out, in all types of weather! The foundation team are passionate about play based learning and we sometimes wonder who is having more fun!!
